Painter/Shot Blaster, Assembly Technician, MIG Welder

Claydon Yield-o-Meter Ltd, also known as Claydon Drills, is a family owned company with its primary market mainly in the EU but with exciting opportunities to forge business relationships into the Americas and Australasia.   We research, design, develop, manufacture and sell agricultural machinery and equipment directly to the end user or through distribution networks by a highly experienced and professional in-house team.

We are now seeking the following team players who can offer a strong work ethic with a positive and “can do” attitude to ensure production deadlines are met whilst maintaining the Claydon high standards:

PAINTER/SHOT BLASTER  Prior experience in shot blasting, painting and teleporter operation will be advantageous but are not essential as training will be provided.   Your role will include shot blasting steel components and weldments prior to painting, mixing and preparing paint using a 2K system with pressure pot and electrostatic gun.

ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN with experience in a technical role including electronic and hydraulic assembly, and teleporter operation will be advantageous but are not essential as training will be provided.  You’ll be involved with varied mechanical assembly, both light and heavy duty, using hand and power tools according to technical drawings and specification.

MIG WELDER with previous MIG welding experience.  You will have the ability to read technical drawings and mark out work together with setting up the welder dependent upon job type.   You will deal with welding steel fabrications with a plate thickness 6mm – 30mm and manufacture fabrications according to technical drawings.  Some fabrications are jigged, others will need to be marked out.


Being based in a rural location, you will require your own transport.  Onsite parking is available.
